The UT Tyler men's soccer team and men's cross country team were each named ASC Team Sportsmanship Award for the Fall of 2013. This marks the sixth and seventh time a Patriots team has won the award.

The UT Tyler women's cross country team finished in 16th-place at the NCAA South Regional. Junior Carly Kitts became the first Patriots' female runner in program-history to qualify for the National Championship meet.

The UT Tyler men's cross country team finished out its 2013 season with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA South Regional on Saturday morning. Matthew Markert led the way for the men, finishing in 21st-place overall.
